Affordable Care Insurance refers to a type of health insurance plan that is designed to provide coverage at a reasonable cost to individuals and families who may not be able to afford traditional health insurance plans. This type of insurance is often provided through government-sponsored programs or private insurance companies that are required to comply with certain regulations to ensure affordability and accessibility. The Pennsylvania State Marketplace is called Pennie. We are certified Pennie Assisters.

Pennie follows the Affordable Care Act rules to provides subsidies and tax credits to help individuals and families afford insurance. The ACA also introduced a range of regulations aimed at increasing the accessibility and affordability of health insurance, including the requirement that insurance companies cover essential health benefits such as preventative care, mental health services, and prescription drugs. These plans typically have lower premiums and out-of-pocket costs than traditional health insurance plans, making them a viable option for individuals and families on a budget.

Home Care Insurance

Home care insurance provides coverage for the costs associated with in-home care services for individuals who are unable to perform daily activities independently due to aging, disability, or chronic illness. It is designed to help individuals cover the expenses of long-term care services that are not typically covered by health insurance or Medicare.

Home care insurance typically covers a range of services, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, and transferring. It may also cover instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) like meal preparation, medication management, housekeeping, transportation, and supervision.

Long-Term Assisted Living

Long-term care insurance (LTCI) is a type of insurance designed to cover the costs associated with long-term care services, typically not covered by health insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid. It provides financial protection to individuals who may require assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) or have cognitive impairments due to aging, chronic illness, or disability.

Long-term care insurance policies have specific benefit limits, which may be defined as a maximum daily, weekly, or monthly benefit amount. Policies may also have a maximum benefit period, which can range from a few years to a lifetime benefit maximum. It’s important to carefully review policy details to understand the specific benefits and limitations.

Final Expense

Final expense benefits refer to a type of insurance policy that provides coverage for end-of-life expenses, such as funeral costs, outstanding medical bills, and other expenses that may arise upon the policyholder’s death.

These policies are also sometimes called burial insurance or funeral insurance, and are typically purchased by seniors or individuals with serious health conditions who want to ensure that their loved ones are not burdened with the costs of their final expenses.

The coverage amount for final expense benefits is usually much lower than that of traditional life insurance policies, often ranging from a few thousand dollars to around $25,000. The premiums for these policies are generally more affordable than those for traditional life insurance, making them a popular choice for those on a limited budget.

It is important to note that final expense benefits are not intended to replace a comprehensive life insurance policy or to provide significant financial support to beneficiaries beyond end-of-life expenses. Instead, they are designed to ease the burden of these specific costs and provide peace of mind to the policyholder and their loved ones.
